I am completely fascinated by the timeless beauty possessed by glass shapes. An almost “delicate permanence” if I may say. My art pieces are inspired from the poignant moments in my life. Through life’s trials and tribulations, and having personally tread many miles upon the road of recovery, I am grateful and fortunate to have this opportunity to share my art with the world.
Oscar Baron Artists is my initial step in building a larger, philanthropic foundation. A foundation built to lead the way for natural human progression and to provide a fresh start for children and adults in our local communities through programs focused on entrepreneurship, self-development, and independence.
If you decide to make a purchase, we (I’m saying we because this is from all of us here at Oscar Baron Artists) want to thank you ahead of time for your contribution to our bigger dream of leaving the world a better place. If you decide not to make a purchase, then send someone our way that might be interested, or better yet, you come back and see us again. Be careful though, if you get to know us, you might like us!
The Process:
Bringing to life custom, one-of-a-kind hand carved and etched glass designs through various sandblasting, glue-chipping, coloring, and gilding techniques. Each piece comes to life in its own unique way. Our artistry allows us to create with all different types of glass, from recycled glass bottles and jars to pure German lens optical crystal, as well as mirror, jade, clear, and even tempered (safety) glass.
Our pieces are hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind glass art. Each piece is carefully hand selected for the design in mind. The glass is cleaned and then the design is applied onto a vinyl or rubber resist. Often times, anything that will resist sand at high pressures can be used as a resist. The design is then interpreted and sandblasted accordingly. Glass can be solid frosted, lightly to heavily shaded, leveled, carved, glue-chipped, colored (through paint or various gilding techniques), mirrored, or even left clear, to create stunning art pieces.
