This Butterfly Window brings the soothing power and calming beauty of the butterfly to life in glass with this elegant, sophisticated surface-etched art piece. Inspired to reward this old farm window for its many decades of service, I adorned its glass with a very interesting butterfly design that has been sandblasted using leveling (flat carving), shading, and solid and light frosting techniques. The original conditioned window frame tells its story through the scars of time hidden beneath the imperfections in its weathered flat-white paint.
Butterfly Window: measures 28”w x 33 1/4”h, this piece has two brass colored hangers and
hanging wire rated at 35 lbs. The hanging wire may be easily removed, if preferred.
Would love to hear some of your opinions, comments, or concerns. What kind of reaction do you get when you look at this design? What does it make you feel? Think?

It’s absolutely gorgeous! You do amazing work! You can help but think happy thoughts when you look at it!
That’s awesome, Jen. Happy thoughts are always good.
Oooo this is awesome!! I love it!!
Thanks, Gwynne. The BF window is definitely one of my all-time favorites.
I’m remodeling my bathroom (slowly but surely) and we need to replace the broken glass in our old long, thin bathroom window (it’s from the 40′s and has a little hand crank on the right side) with some new glass.
I’m wondering if I could commission you to make something like this for the window in there. I’d just have to find out the right dimensions for the window glass and when we get it in, put it inside the old window frame.
I’ll be removing the old window frame and sanding it down and painting it with rustoleum.
Sure. I’m absolutely interested. Whenever you get a chance, drop me a line with the measurements of the glass (length, width, and thickness – if possible), any design ideas you may have, and what kind of price range you what to be in. My email is mike@oscarbaron.com.
Thanks sooo much for commenting.
Have a great evening Gwynne!
